BRO Driver Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

For Draftsman

(i) 10 Plus 2 with Science Subjects from a recognised Board
(ii) Having two years Certificate in Architecture or Draughtsmanship from a recognized Institute or equivalent. OR
Possessing two years National Trade Certificate for Draughtsman (Civil) from a recognized Institute and having one year practical experience in the trade.

For Supervisor Administration

(i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent
(ii) Possessing National Cadet Core ‘B’ Certificate or Ex- Naib Subedar (General Duty) from the Army or equivalent from Navy or Air Force.

For Turner

i) Must Possess Turner Certificate from ITC/ITI/NCTVT /Defence Trade Certificate with one year experience OR
Passed Class Il Course for Turner as laid down in Defence Service Regulations, Qualification Regulations for Soldiers from office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

For Machinist

(i) Matriculation from a recognised Board or equivalent;
(ii) Having Machinist Certificate from Industrial Training Institute or equivalent. OR
Having Defence Trade Certificate from an Army Institute or similar establishment of Defence with one year experience as Machinist.OR
Having passed Class 2 Course for Turner/Machinist as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

For Driver Mechanical Transport (Ordinary Grade)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent. OR
ii) Possessing a heavy Motor vehicle driving license. OR
Having passed Class III Course for Driver Plant Mechanical Transport as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

For Driver Road Roller Grade Ordinary

(i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent ; and
(ii) Possessing a heavy Motor vehicle or Road Roller driving licence with experience of six months in Road Roller Driving OR
Having passed Class Il Course for Driver Plant and Mechanical Transport as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

For Operator Excavating Machinery

(i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent;
(ii) Possessing a heavy Motor vehicle driving licence; OR
Driving License for Dozer/Excavator and six months experience in driving Dorzer/Excavator:
OR
Having passed class Il Course of Operator Excavating Machinery as laid down in Defence Service
Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from Office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

BRO Driver Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

• SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such candidates will be accommodated against the General/ Unreserved vacancies in the post as per their position in the overall merit or vacancies earmarked for their category, whichever is advantageous to them.
• The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates.
• SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances, extended zone of consideration, etc, irrespective of his/ her merit position, is to be counted against reserved vacancies and not against un- reserved vacancies.
• Such candidates may also be recommended at the relaxed standards to the extent of number of vacancies reserved for them, to make up for the deficiency in the reserved quota, irrespective of their rank in the order of merit. In so far as cases of Ex-Serviceman are concerned, deduction of the military service rendered from the age of ex servicemen is permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption will not be termed as relaxed standards in regard to age.
• Similarly for PwBD candidates, relaxation of 10 years in upper age limit will not be termed as relaxed standards.
• Success in the examination confers no right of appointment unless Government is satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service/ post.

• Supervisor Administration: Pay Level 4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)
• Turner: Pay Level 2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200)

How To Apply BRO Driver Recruitment 2024 Offline Form?

1. Application will be filled up in English/Hindi only.
2. No candidate will send more than one application for the same post. The candidature will be cancelled, if candidate applies more than one application for one post.
3. Candidate should affix latest photograph, taken not more than 01 (One) month from date of advertisement, in application form and Admit Card. The candidate should be in possession of adequate number (Min 08) of same photographs with him.
4. Any mismatch in the photograph affixed in the application form/admit card with candidate appearance on account of wearing glass/spectacle or keeping or shaving off moustache and beard or having a particular hairstyle may result in rejection/non admittance to Exam Hall. Action shall be initiated against the defaulting candidate as deemed fit by Exam Conducting Authority.
5. Candidates must ensure their Identity Card (Aadhar Card is updated if the photo is very old /or there is change in address/phone number)
6. Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate application with separate fee. One envelope should contain one application for one post only. However, dates for Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test & Practical Test (Trade Test) will be decided by the Department.
7. Name of candidate in the application form must match with matriculation certificate. If there is any discrepancy and name is found not matching with matriculation certificate the candidature is liable to be cancelled summarily.
8. Candidates are advised to go through the general instructions carefully as mentioned against Advt No 01/2024. Candidate should carefully go through all the provisions in the advertisement to ensure that he is eligible for the post for which he is applying in terms of requirements of age, educational qualification etc. AS ON CLOSING DATE.
